​Day 1–3: Osaka (3 nights)

📍 Base: Namba or Umeda​


🍴 Try

  • Kushikatsu - Kushi = skewer | Katsu = deep-fried cutlet. Kushikatsu is a variety of skewered and deep-fried foods, from meats and seafood to veggies and cheese.

           

  • Takoyaki - (Octopus Balls) crispy-on-the-outside, gooey-on-the-inside round balls made from a wheat flour batter, filled with chunks of octopus, pickled ginger, and green onion.

  • Okonomiyaki - Okonomi = “what you like” | Yaki = “grilled”
    A savory Japanese pancake made from flour, eggs, shredded cabbage, and your choice of fillings like pork, shrimp, or cheese. It’s grilled on a hotplate and topped with okonomiyaki sauce, mayo, bonito flakes, and seaweed powder.

Day Trip Option:

  • 🦌 Nara (Todai-ji, deer park) or 🍫 Kobe (Kobe beef, sake breweries)

Day 4: Hiroshima (Optional Overnight)

🚄 Take the Shinkansen (2 hr from Osaka or Kyoto)
📍 Stay near Hiroshima Station or Peace Park

  • Hiroshima-Style Okonomiyaki -(広島風お好み焼き)  - Signature dish of the region -

  • Tsukemen (Spicy Dipping Noodles) Cold noodles served with a spicy dipping sauce. You control the spice level!

  • Hiroshima Oysters (かき / Kaki)

  • Local Sake from Saijo

Day 5–7: Kyoto (3 nights)

🚄 Take the Shinkansen back to Kyoyo

📍 Base: Gion, Kawaramachi, or Kyoto Station

  • Kaiseki (Traditional Multi-Course Meal) -Kyoto’s most iconic dining experience. A beautifully arranged, seasonal meal served course by course. Includes dishes like sashimi, grilled fish, simmered vegetables, and tofu.

  • Matcha Everything (Green Tea)

  • Kyoto’s Uji region is known for the best matcha in Japan. Don’t miss: matcha soft serve, parfaits, cakes, and traditional tea ceremonies.

Day 8–11: Tokyo (4 nights)

🚄 Take the Shinkansen Kyoyo to Tokyo (2hrs:15minutes to 4 hours depending on train type)

📍 Base: Shinjuku, Shibuya, Shinagawa or Asakusa

🍴Try - 

  • Sushi- Tokyo is sushi central, especially around Tsukiji and Ginza.

  • Ramen- Endless ramen shops with every style you can imagine:

  1. Tonkotsu (pork broth)

  2. Shoyu (soy sauce)

  3. Miso

  4. Tsukemen (dipping noodles)

  • Yakitori (Grilled Chicken Skewers)

  1. Bite-sized pieces of chicken grilled over charcoal, seasoned with salt or tare sauce.

  2. Best enjoyed in a smoky izakaya with a cold beer.

 

Day Trip Option: 🗻 Mt. Fuji (Lake Kawaguchiko or Hakone)

Option: Stay in Tokyo longer for Disney Resort, explore the cities around Chiba.
